Ego
(Basic Explanation of the ego)
The part of your brain responsible for your identity, known as the mammal brain, plays a significant role in shaping who you are.
As you age, it becomes increasingly challenging to overcome the influence of the ego and achieve true freedom from its grip.
The ego perceives itself as a separate entity and often fosters a sense of superiority over others. When encountering someone different, it instinctively judges them, even though the person being judged may not realize it's the ego's survival mechanism at work.
Sadly, many individuals go through their entire lives without recognizing the detrimental impact of the ego on their mental well-being.
Whenever you catch your thoughts engaging in judgment, comparisons, or anxieties about being judged, pause and reflect: Is it truly your higher self or the toxic grip of the ego mind speaking?
Detaching from the ego mind is essential, not only for personal growth but also to alleviate the fear of death. Many people harbor various fears and misconceptions about death, and liberating oneself from the ego's influence can help overcome these concerns.
In conclusion, by understanding the influence of the mammal brain and the ego, and by consciously choosing to detach from its hold, we can embark on a path towards personal liberation, improved mental health, and a more enlightened perspective on life and death.
